Potent offense and complementary pitching paved the way to victory for Bellefontaine in their 6-4 win over Anna. The win moves Bellefontaine’s record to six wins and two losses on the season.

The Chiefs applied consistent pressure all night long. Logging nine hits and six RBIs throughout the night.

Of the batters for the Chiefs, Caleb Overmann and Spencer Stolly both collected two hits apiece. Stolly was also able to reach via a walk.

Aven Caudill was able to provide a trio of RBIs on the night for the Chiefs, being the most impactful bat for the Chiefs with just one swing.

As a team on the night, they batted .429 and had seven players leave the contest with a hit. They only struck out once the entire game as well, forcing the defense to continue to make plays and get outs on the field.

As a pitching unit, the Chiefs had to rely on three different pitchers to get them through the contest, highlighting the depth on the pitching staff for B-town.

The three-arm attack was comprised of Nicholas Beair, Sutton Daring, and Sammy Kline. As a group, they allowed just six hits and struck out seven different Rockets in the game.

Beair started the game for Bellefontaine and remained on the mound for four innings, allowing four hits and three earned runs. The relievers of Daring and Kline came in and closed the game in the last three innings, striking out six of the final nine batters faced.

Bellefontaine now sits in third for the Kenton Trail division in the CBC. They next play at Kenton Ridge on Wednesday, April 15, to gain ground on the Cougars, who sit one spot ahead of them.
