Bellefontaine’s hurdles group proved just as dominant. Senior Callie Shumaker turned in one of the top individual performances of the meet, winning both the 100-meter hurdles (15.11) and the 300-meter hurdles (46.10). Teammate Sloan Stolly followed her across the line in both events, cementing a one-two sweep.
In the sprints, Bellefontaine freshman Layla Davis continued to impress, capturing the 400 meters in 1:03.63, while Jillian Ullum finished second and later added a silver in the 200 meters. Ullum consistently figured into the points column throughout the evening.
Relay success was another cornerstone of Bellefontaine’s title. The Chieftains won the 4x200 relay (1:50.10) behind Shumaker, Davis, Ullum, and Stolly, while also placing second in the 4x400 relay.
Indian Lake’s Addison Beck was the most versatile athlete on the girls’ side, accounting for a large share of her team’s points. Beck won the 100 meters (12.71) and 200 meters (26.09), then added field victories in the high jump (4-10) and long jump (17-0), completing a remarkable four-event sweep.
