WEST LIBERTY, Ohio — Benjamin Logan used timely hitting and a dominant pitching performance to defeat Northwestern 3-0 in a rain-shortened game on Monday.
The Raiders scored early and added an insurance run to secure the shutout. Benjamin Logan plated two runs in the first inning, then pushed across another in the third to provide all the offense it would need.

Cayden Brown led the Raiders at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and a stolen base. Adam Tinsman also played a key role offensively, finishing 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Carrick Spriggs added a hit, while Benjamin Logan totaled five hits as a team.
The story of the game belonged to the Raiders’ pitching staff. Jacob Hawley was dominant on the mound, allowing just one hit over five innings. The junior struck out eight and did not issue a walk, keeping Northwestern off balance throughout the game. Hawley retired 15 batters and faced the minimum over five innings.
Northwestern struggled to generate offense, managing just one hit and committing two errors in the field. The Tigers were unable to advance a runner into scoring position and did not put together a multi-batter rally.
