Benjamin Logan High School senior Ashton Whitt has signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Defiance College, where he will play football for the Yellow Jackets.

A dedicated member of the Raider football program, Whitt plans to pursue a degree in Sports Management. He chose Defiance College for its small-town atmosphere and close-knit campus environment.

“I love the small-town feel,” Whitt shared.

Whitt has long aspired to compete at the collegiate level, combining his passion for football with his commitment to furthering his education. “I love the game of football and wanted to continue my education, so why not do both,” he said.

Whitt was a defensive leader for the Raiders. As a senior, he collected 75 total tackles, 3 sacks, and 7.5 tackles for loss. He also returned an interception for a touchdown during his final campaign.

Known for his strong work ethic, humility, and coachability, Whitt believes these qualities will help him succeed at the next level. As he joins the Yellow Jackets program, he is focused on competing, growing, and contributing to team success.

“I plan to come in, compete, work hard, and contribute to helping my teammates succeed while also working on my personal growth as an athlete and student,” he said.

Whitt is the son of Adam and Cylie Whitt. He was coached at Benjamin Logan by Coach Paul Jenne and Coach Fay.

Benjamin Logan Schools congratulate Ashton on this achievement and wish him continued success at the collegiate level.
