Do you love supporting local business and healthy hometown culture? The Best of Logan County 2026 celebrates that kind of connection; the winners are chosen by our community, and the entire process raises awareness of businesses and events that people want to know but maybe haven't heard about yet.

Now that nominations have closed, Logan County residents may vote for their favorites beginning Oct. 11 and ending Oct. 25 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Voting is available either in person at participating businesses or online at BestOfLoganCounty.com.

Voters can triple their vote by entering a 30-second video about why that nominee should win. Results will be announced Nov. 6 in the Logan County Chronicle.

The Best of Logan County awards program this year is brought to residents by the Logan County Chronicle and Logan County Visitors Bureau, with support from the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Indian Lake Area Chamber of Commerce as community partners.

These organizations are passionate about connecting locals with locals for everyday purchases, recreation and big projects to foster true human connection that lasts the years and to keep the county thriving.

Voters will be asked to provide a “why”, giving them a chance to highlight specific memories or the general service, experiences and everyday contributions behind their local favorites.

Are they voting for a business that consistently goes the extra mile, an organization that brings people together or a destination they recommend to everyone who visits?

The awards center on personal experience, and, with the video submissions, a personal touch – a face to the words – that will show just how these nominees have made an impact on the world around them.

Businesses, organizations, and events were nominated Sept. 13-26. The categories they were entered for reflect the many ways people experience Logan County.

Food and hospitality categories include Best Pizza, Best Burger, Best Coffee Shop, Best Food Truck and Best Place to Stay. Other categories recognize professional services, healthcare, shopping, customer service and community contributions. Residents also nominated favorites for Best Annual Event, Best Family Attraction, Best Community Organization and Best New Business.

The complete category list will be available on the BestOfLoganCounty.com website.

To vote, visitors to the website can navigate to the ballot form, select a category, a nominee and provide a written or video explanation why that nominee deserves recognition. Nominees will participate in just one category.

The form also requests the voter’s name, email address and phone number to help keep track of votes – only one vote per person per category will be counted. Refresh the page to vote again in a different category.

Voting will also include in-person paper ballots at participating businesses. Keep an eye out on social media or during your daily coffee run to spot businesses taking part in paper ballot voting.

Each video vote will count as three votes. When votes are tallied, including video-weighted votes, the three nominees with the highest totals in each category will be recognized as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalists. The Chronicle will cover the winners in print and online so that readers can learn more about those they've recognized as staples of the community.

A separate Kids’ Choice Awards will involve a small group of Logan County elementary students, with categories for pizza, ice cream, French fries and favorite sweet treat.

Readers are encouraged to think about the places they enjoy spending time at, the businesses they return to and the experiences they would recommend to a visiting friend.
