An ordinance that will propose the sale of the Bellefontaine Armory, 1021 S. Main St., to Wawa Midwest LLC, will make its first appearance before the Bellefontaine City Council at its regular meeting Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.
Wawa Midwest, LLC is a Delaware-based chain that offers fuel and convenience store services and which is rapidly expanding in Ohio, having established a number of locations in the Cincinnati area and recently opened stores in Lima and Springfield.
The ordinance indicates that the sale price for the Bellefontaine Armory is listed at $550,000. The Armory straddles two parcels of land, which will both be included in the sale.
The facility was initially dedicated in 1950.

The second ordinance up for a final vote would vacate a 0.173 acre parcel owned by the Logan County Metropolitan Housing Authority located between the 600 blocks of North Detroit and Henry St. at the request of the VFW, Post 1080, 216 Orchard Ave.
