Ohio’s Summer Reading Program is in full swing at the Logan County Libraries.
The Knowlton Library of Bellefontaine and its five branches are offering dinosaur-themed programs, reading challenges, and prizes until the end of July.
Yearly, the State Library of Ohio offers and supports public libraries with a Collaborative Summer Library Program, and this year the slogan is “Unearth a Story.”
Thursday June 11, the Glen Helen Raptor Center brought some feathered friends to the West Liberty and DeGraff Branch Libraries so that lucky humans of all ages were able to get up close to them.
Adrianna Burrows, a staff member with the Glen Helen Raptor Center in Yellow Springs, introduced library guests to two birds of prey: an American Kestrel Falcon named Odin and an Eastern Screech Owl named Ollie.
Partnering with The Logan County Libraries, the center’s outreach program is designed to connect adults and children with wildlife and conservation.
