Good evening, Chronicle subscribers! It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me here! We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting the print editions of the Chronicle launched these last few months, but we want to return to our regular e-mail presence! Thanks for your support and many great suggestions as we build this new newspaper and media company for our beloved Logan County! Your feedback and encouragement mean so much to our staff.
Have you gotten the chance to read the Oct. 23 print edition, which we turned pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month? It also includes our Special Breast Cancer Awareness Month section. These stories are also being shared each day this week on our website, so you can also check them at https://www.logancountychronicle.com/
Our writers did an excellent job bringing to life the personal stories of several local breast cancer survivors, providing some of the latest health information around the disease, and also honoring several special individuals who we remember upon their passing from breast cancer.
Our page 1 Main News feature followed the remarkable journey of an area family who dealt with not one or two, but three breast cancer diagnoses within one year, and the way they were able to come together against this formidable foe to support one another.
Bellefontaine native Stephanie Stephens also details her very recent diagnosis in August and her current treatment for breast cancer, encouraging other women to keep up on their routine screenings, even when nothing seems out of the ordinary. She said this practice likely saved her life.
On the medical side, we also examine some of the latest surgical treatment options for breast cancer patients that have come a long way in recent years.
Thanks for reading and don’t miss out on our other Breast Cancer Awareness Month stories, in print and online, and all of our other local coverage. It’s easy to subscribe at https://www.logancountychronicle.com/upgrade, or call our office at (937) 240-4132.
Have a great evening,
Mandy Loehr
