2026 Indian Lake High School Softball Team. | INDIAN LAKE HIGH SCHOOL

The Lady Lakers (12-16) finish their season as District Runners-Up after a tough loss to Taylor High School (20-3).

The Taylor Yellow Jackets scored five runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat the Lady Lakers 6-0.

Bre Wisener led things off in the circle for the Lakers. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

The starter for Taylor, Ellie Stafford, gave up only four hits and struck out 14 to keep the Lake attack at bay.

MacKenzie Miller led the Lake with two hits in four at-bats from the leadoff position.

Taylor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One being Morgan Raugh, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Emma King, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

This loss in the District ends Indian Lake’s string of four victories as they made a late-season push to end as district runner-up.

Freshman Kyler Carruthers broke the single-season home run record for the Lakers as she kicked off the start to her high school career with a bang. She was able to hit 10 long balls on the year and highlighted a great deal of power from the batter’s box.

A year of growth and promise ended with the late-season push in the playoffs for the lake. The postseason success should build nicely as the program looks to grow, as the team sees only three seniors leave the program.

Congrats on a great season by the Laker Softball Team.
