Did someone say upset? The Lady Chiefs (5-19) beat the odds last night and beat the number 2 seed Carroll (13-6) to continue their season last night.

Not only did they upset the women from Carroll, but they blew them out 10-3. The postseason victory marked only the second time the girls have seen an addition to the win column since April 8.
The Chieftain squad was firing on both sides of the plate tonight, gathering 11 hits and fueling the team to a win.

Sophomore slugger Joy Fogan collected a trio of hits and drove in 2 RBIs in 5 at-bats. She also made use of getting on base, scoring twice.

The senior duo of Addison Wical and Brilee Joseph were determined to keep their senior seasons alive.  Joseph walked away from the contest with 3 hits and a run scored, while Wical knocked a pair of hits as well.

Senior Ava Dolan provided a huge hit for the girls as well, knocking in a double and driving in two RBIs in the game.

Fogan not only hit well in the contest, but she pitched the entirety of the game for the girls while they sought the upset. She toed the mound and twirled a 14-strikeout, 4-hit performance.

The Lady Chiefs will be back in action on Friday at home against Bethel.
