The Pirates Baseball team (11-3) scored twice in the seventh inning to walk off Covington (5-8). The Pirates tallied only four hits, but they made them all count to avoid the OHC upset.

Brody Orsborn was the man of the night for the Riverside boys. Orsborn got it done on both sides of the field. Offensively driving in two RBIs and pitching all seven innings for the Pirates.

In the seven innings of pitching, Orsborn was able to strike out nine batters on the night. Walking only three and allowing eight hits.

The game remained scoreless for the first three innings of the contest until Covington and Riverside were each able to push across a run in the fourth inning.

In the fifth, Covington was able to push ahead, scoring another run in the inning.

The Pirates would remain quiet until the 7th inning, where they would put up a two-spot to knock off the Buccaneers.

Syler Clark went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run in the game, posting his game high for stolen bases in a game this season.

Defensively for Riverside, Cooper Crouch was a busy man, posting 10 Putouts.

Riverside has now won back-to-back games and sees its season record sit at 11-3 and 2nd place in the Ohio Heritage Conference.

No stats were available online for Covington for the game.

Riverside looks to make it three wins in a row on Tuesday against Milton-Union at 5 p.m.
