Robert “Bob” Eugene Trout, 88, of Marysville passed away on September 25, 2026, in his home.

Bob was born on August 5, 1938, in Marysville, Ohio to the late Cecil & Nellie (Louden) Trout.

Bob found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing, and as a young man, he enjoyed trapping. He took great pleasure in gardening and spent many hours sitting on his porch, feeding the squirrels that visited his yard. He also loved driving his golf cart around the farm, enjoying the land he loved and the peacefulness of being outdoors. He enjoyed watching baseball and was a devoted fan of fast-pitch softball.

Above all, Bob loved people and loved to tell stories. He had a gift for turning an ordinary moment into a cherished memory with a good story, a little humor, and his own special way of telling it. Those who knew Bob will remember his stories, his passions, and the warmth he brought into their lives. The memories he shared, and the time spent listening to him will be treasured by his family and friends for years to come.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Rebecca) Trout and Donald (Kay) Trout; grandchildren, Daniel Trout, Allison Trout, Andrea (Frank) Mateo, Joshua Trout, Jenna Trout, Ryan (Erika) Berry, Lindsey (Andy) Fultz; great grandchildren, Lisa Mateo, Oliva Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, Hailey Berry, Zachary Carter, Zoe Carter, Brody Berry, Oliver Berry, Ross Fultz, Kennedy Fultz and Colbert Fultz; sister Betty Izzard.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Dick Izzard; Wife Helen Trout.

A celebration of life will be held in the future at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contrition’s may be made in Bobs memory to Ohio’s Hospice, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
