Rushsylvania Memorial Day featured speaker Will Ricketts highlighted local military heroes and brought their memories to life during his remarks at the Rushsylvania Park Monday morning, May 25.
He spoke about the importance of Memorial Day and detailed the local Rushsylvania area military residents who gave their lives in the line of duty over the years during various conflicts and wars.
Ricketts urged those in attendance to never forget the sacrifices of these service members that were made to keep our country safe and free.
The Rushsylvania Lions sponsored the Memorial Day Services. The Master of Ceremonies was Lion President Bill Wreede, the prayer was given by Rushsylvania Mayor Jason Miller (also a Lion member), the memorial flowers were laid by Lion Mike Wroten.
The Benjamin Logan Middle School Band, under the direction of Maggie Bowbly, played patriotic music and Taps.
