Hi Chronicle subscribers! How’s this rainy Wednesday and the day after the Election treating you?
It was a tough one for a lot of local levies and issues, with the Bellefontaine City Schools’ earned income tax levy; Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ levy; Logan County sales and use tax renewal for roads and bridges; and the Indian Lake Joint Ambulance District operating levy all being voted down. (See all our local recaps at https://www.logancountychronicle.com/)
However, voters took the chance to make their voices heard, showing up in large numbers, with about 57 percent of Logan County registered voters casting their ballots. Many were cast ahead of the election, with 9,344 individuals participating in early in-person voting, in addition to 1,816 absentee ballots that were cast. Election Day saw a total of 6,909 ballots cast in Logan County, all according to figures provided by the Logan County Board of Elections.
Also, we have a newly-elected Logan County Family Court judge! Congratulations to Sarah Warren, who will step into the bench in February 2027. Wishing you all the best and thank you for your service, Judge Sarah!
In other good news around Logan County, the highly-anticipated Papa Johns opens tomorrow - Thursday, Nov. 5, in the High Point Village shopping center near Kroger in Bellefontaine! Don’t miss the grand opening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., including free slices served up and giveaways planned. The Chronicle staff are looking forward to attending as well! 😃

Have a great evening, and stay dry! Thanks for reading,
Mandy Loehr
