Benjamin Logan High School’s FFA chapter announces the successful conclusion of its Barnyard Buddies: Learn, Grow, Explore program this school yaer — an engaging agricultural education initiative that connected FFA members with elementary students across the district.

Made possible through the generous support of the Milroy Foundation, this program provided hands-on learning experiences designed to introduce young students to the world of agriculture in fun, meaningful ways.

Throughout the school year, Benjamin Logan FFA juniors visited all elementary grade levels, leading interactive lessons and creative activities that brought agricultural concepts to life.

The program’s final activity took place today with first-grade students, who created colorful tissue paper flowers as part of a lesson connecting plant science, creativity, and seasonal growth.

This culminating experience highlighted the program’s focus on blending education with hands-on exploration.

The Benjamin Logan FFA extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Benjamin Logan Elementary staff for warmly welcoming FFA members into their classrooms and supporting this collaborative effort throughout the year. Their partnership played a vital role in the program’s success.

A special recognition to junior Lucy Wenger, who coordinated the activities for the program.

As the hands-on effort concludes its first year, Benjamin Logan FFA looks forward to continuing and expanding Barnyard Buddies: Learn, Grow, Explore, further strengthening connections between students, schools, and the agricultural community.
