Graham (2-8) walked off Benjamin Logan (5-5) 5–4 on Wednesday, April 15, after Kingston McWilliams drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning, forcing in the winning run.
Walks and errors came back to haunt Benjamin Logan on Wednesday night. A furious comeback ultimately falls short as the Raiders lose the Central Buckeye Conference matchup.
Kingston McWilliams worked the walk to end it. Graham overcame being out-hit, 7–5, by capitalizing on seven walks and defensive miscues.
Graham took the lead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring four times without an extra-base hit. McWilliams drew a walk to open the scoring, Brody Jenkins followed with a sacrifice bunt that brought in a run, and two additional runs scored on a Benjamin Logan error.
Benjamin Logan answered late, tying the game in the top of the seventh. Adam Tinsman doubled to drive in a run, and additional runs scored on a Graham error and a balk.
Tinsman led the Raiders at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jacob Hawley added an RBI, while Micah Gregg and Soli Hughes logged hits as Benjamin Logan finished with seven hits and five walks. The Raiders turned one double play defensively.
Soli Hughes started for Benjamin Logan and allowed four runs, three earned, on four hits in six innings, striking out seven and walking five.
Oliver Morse took the loss, allowing one run on one hit while walking two in two-thirds of an inning.
Nathan Crisler earned the win for Graham after pitching four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out one. Hayden Nitchman worked the final three innings and yielded four runs, two earned, on five hits while striking out two.
Kase Loudenback went 2-for-4 to pace Graham offensively. Jenkins and McWilliams each drove in a run, and McWilliams led the Falcons with three walks.
Benjamin Logan returns to action on Friday, April 17, against Bellefontaine at home.
