After putting together its first winning season in three years, Benjamin Logan enters the 2026 football season looking to take another step forward.

The Raiders finished 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division last fall, good for fourth place in the division. The five-win campaign marked a significant improvement from a 3-8 season in 2024 and gives Benjamin Logan a foundation to build on heading into this fall.

Head coach Paul Jenne returns to lead the Raiders, who will again compete in Division IV, Region 14. Benjamin Logan will have plenty of opportunities to test itself early, beginning with a home matchup against Bluffton on Aug. 21 before traveling to West Liberty-Salem the following week.

The nonconference schedule continues with a Sept. 4 home game against Lima Senior before the Raiders travel to Bellefontaine for the annual rivalry matchup on Sept. 11. Tecumseh comes to Benjamin Logan on Sept. 18 to close out the nonconference portion of the schedule.

Once CBC play begins, the margin for error will become even smaller. The Raiders open division play against Graham on Sept. 25, followed by road trips to North Union and Indian Lake. Benjamin Logan closes the regular season with home dates against Northwestern and a road game at Shawnee.

Last season, the Raiders showed they could compete with the division’s top teams, but several close losses kept them from climbing higher in the standings. Benjamin Logan dropped one-score games to Graham, North Union and Indian Lake, including a 17-14 loss to the Lakers.

That experience could prove valuable in 2026. If the Raiders can turn those close contests into wins while continuing the offensive production they showed late last season — including a 48-0 win over Northwestern and a 40-13 victory over Shawnee — Benjamin Logan has an opportunity to make a push toward the top of the Mad River Division.

The season begins Aug. 21 at home against Bluffton, giving the Raiders an early chance to show that last year’s winning record was not an isolated step, but the beginning of a larger turnaround.
