2026 Benjamin Logan Girls Varsity Soccer team. BENJAMIN LOGAN SCHOOLS
Benjamin Logan’s girls soccer team continued its defensive dominance Tuesday, battling Piqua to a scoreless draw and moving within one result of securing the first Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division championship in program history.
The Lady Raiders have made defense their calling card throughout the season, recording four consecutive shutouts and eight in their last nine matches. The latest effort against Piqua further demonstrated the team’s ability to keep opposing offenses off the scoreboard, even as the stakes continue to rise late in the regular season.
At the center of Benjamin Logan’s clean sheets is goalkeeper Avery Rogers, who has established herself as one of the program’s most dependable players. Rogers has recorded nine shutouts this season, helping anchor a defensive unit that continues to set new standards for the Lady Raiders. Her efforts have played a significant role in Benjamin Logan’s impressive 12-2-3 record.
While the defense has consistently kept opponents at bay, the Lady Raiders also have a potent offensive weapon in Daylin Varner. Varner leads Benjamin Logan with 50 offensive points, providing the attacking production needed to turn the team’s defensive strength into victories throughout the season.

That combination of offensive firepower and defensive consistency has positioned Benjamin Logan for a chance to make school history. The Lady Raiders have found success by limiting opponents’ scoring opportunities while relying on Varner and the offense to generate enough production at the other end of the field.
The scoreless draw leaves Benjamin Logan at 12-2-3, while Piqua moves to 6-2-8.
Now, the Lady Raiders turn their attention to a pivotal road matchup against Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. With the CBC Mad River Division title within reach, Benjamin Logan needs only a win or a tie to clinch the championship outright.
A victory or draw would mark the first CBC Mad River Division girls soccer title in Benjamin Logan school history, capping a season defined by balanced play, record-setting goalkeeping and a defense that has repeatedly shut down opposing attacks.
With Varner leading the way offensively and Rogers anchoring the defense, the Lady Raiders have put themselves in position to accomplish something the program has never done before. One more result stands between Benjamin Logan and a place in school history.
