BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio — Benjamin Logan is finding its stride at the right time.

After an up-and-down opening four weeks, the Raiders put together a convincing performance Friday night, rolling past Tecumseh 35-6 to improve to 3-2 on the season.

Benjamin Logan controlled the game with a physical rushing attack and a defense that kept the Arrows out of the end zone, allowing the Raiders to pull away and secure their second straight victory.

Senior running back Jordan Pender was at the center of the offensive attack, finding the end zone three times as the Raiders steadily built their lead.

Pender powers the Raiders

Pender wasted little time making his presence felt.

The senior opened the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run, giving Benjamin Logan its first lead of the night. Brandon Heater added the extra point to put the Raiders ahead 7-0.

The Raiders continued to apply pressure as the offense found another way into the end zone.

Quarterback Adam Tinsman connected with Wyatt Predmore for a 23-yard touchdown, with another Heater extra point extending the advantage to 14-6.

From there, Benjamin Logan's ground game took over.

Cooper Buck broke loose for a 31-yard touchdown run, pushing the Raiders' lead to 21-6.

Pender then returned to the end zone, this time from 28 yards out, as Benjamin Logan continued to separate itself from Tecumseh.

The senior running back wasn't finished.

Pender completed his three-touchdown night with a 26-yard scoring run, putting the finishing touches on a 35-6 Benjamin Logan victory.

Raiders control the second half

While the Raiders were able to find the end zone throughout the contest, their ability to control the game after halftime proved to be the difference.

Benjamin Logan scored four of its five touchdowns after taking its early lead, steadily wearing down the Tecumseh defense and turning the game into a one-sided affair.

The Raiders' rushing attack consistently created opportunities, with Pender and Buck providing the production needed to keep the offense moving.

Tinsman's touchdown pass to Predmore also gave Benjamin Logan a valuable threat through the air, preventing the Arrows from simply loading up against the run.

On the other side of the ball, the Raiders' defense made sure Tecumseh never found enough offensive momentum to make a comeback.

The six points allowed marked another strong defensive effort for Benjamin Logan, which continued to build on its recent momentum.

Raiders climbing the standings

The victory moves Benjamin Logan to 3-2 on the season and gives the Raiders another opportunity to build confidence heading into the second half of the regular season.

After navigating a challenging opening stretch, Benjamin Logan has now put together back-to-back wins and appears to be gaining momentum.

Pender's three-touchdown performance provided the spark Friday night, while the Raiders' physical rushing attack and dependable special teams play helped Benjamin Logan maintain control.

And, as has become a familiar sight, Heater remained perfect on the Raiders' extra-point attempts, converting all five opportunities.

With five games in the books, Benjamin Logan has reached the midpoint of its regular season with a winning record and plenty of momentum to carry forward.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to Week 6 as they look to continue their climb against Graham in a CBC matchup.
