Happy Saturday to our subscribers! Hope you’ve been staying warm on this unusually chilly day for May 2! Despite the cooler weather, I’m hoping to head to a local greenhouse this afternoon to pick up some annuals to spruce up my front porch. I might store them inside and plant them tomorrow when it warms up a little.

Dog owners can bring their furry friends to the new Wags Bakery & Grooming in downtown Bellefontaine for grooming appointments, a tasty and healthy treat and for upcoming classes and activities. The new business celebrated its ribbon cutting with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce Thursday.
The Logan County Libraries is gearing up for its week-long celebration of its 125th birthday, with many fun activities planned! The week begins with an Edible Book Cake contest on Monday, May 4.
Finally, the New Path Pregnancy Resource Center hosted their annual Walk for Life fundraiser this morning. Nikki Burkhamer offers a look at all of the practical resources available at New Path’s Bellefontaine center, along with the assistance available in Champaign County at the Sycamore House.
