Each participating high school is limited to submitting just five pieces of artwork, making selection for the exhibit a significant accomplishment.

The Congressional Art Show is part of the nationwide Congressional Art Competition, sponsored each year by members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The competition provides young artists with an opportunity to showcase their work on a regional stage, with the top entry advancing to Washington, D.C., where it is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

The Congressional Art Show highlights a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, offering students valuable exposure and recognition for their creativity and hard work. The reception provides an opportunity for students, families, and educators to celebrate the arts and connect with others who share a passion for visual expression.
