INDIAN LAKE — Pickleball players from around the region will have a chance to compete, socialize and celebrate one of the nation's fastest-growing sports when the inaugural Indian Lake Pickleball Tournament comes to Old Field Beach on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The free tournament will begin at 8 a.m. and is open to players of all skill levels. Participants can compete in men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles events.

Organizers have created two divisions to accommodate a range of players. The Social Division is geared toward those looking to enjoy friendly competition, while the Competitive Division is intended for players rated 3.0 and above.

The event is expected to draw both local residents and visitors to Indian Lake for a day of recreation and community engagement. Tournament organizers say the competition is designed to showcase the growing popularity of pickleball while providing an opportunity for players to connect on and off the court.

In addition to tournament play, the event has been recognized as an America 250 event, helping commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Cash prizes will be awarded to tournament winners.
