BELLEFONTAINE — Homecoming, momentum and a battle atop the Mad River division all come together Friday night when the Benjamin Logan Raiders welcome the Graham Falcons for a Week 6 showdown.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Benjamin Logan High School as the Raiders look to continue building on their recent success in front of a Homecoming crowd.

Benjamin Logan enters Friday's matchup at 3-2 following a convincing 35-6 victory over Tecumseh last week. The Raiders put together one of their most complete performances of the season, controlling the game on both sides of the football and pulling away for the 29-point victory.

Now, Benjamin Logan faces another test against a Graham team looking to make its own statement.

The Raiders have continued to find production from their ground game, with Jordan Pender emerging as one of the team's primary offensive weapons. Pender has provided Benjamin Logan with a physical presence in the backfield and has helped establish the running game throughout the season.

Quarterback Adam Tinsman will also be a player to watch as the Raiders look to balance their offensive attack. When Benjamin Logan is able to establish the run and create opportunities through the passing game, the Raiders have shown they can put pressure on opposing defenses.

And, as always, special teams could play a major role.

Senior kicker Brandon Heater has already made his mark on the Benjamin Logan program and gives the Raiders another weapon whenever they cross midfield. His leg has proven capable of changing the field position battle — and potentially the scoreboard — from considerable distance.

For Graham, Friday provides an opportunity to spoil Benjamin Logan's Homecoming festivities and leave Bellefontaine with a road victory.

The Falcons played spoiler last week, handing Central Buckeye Conference foe London their first conference loss in four years.

The Falcons are constructed the same as the Raiders; they want to run early and run often. Fueled by the Hoke brothers of Saint Paris, it will be a battle of the trenches and possibly dictate CBC standings as the year winds down.

Danny and Jakob Hoke have already accounted for 1,126 rushing yards in just 5 games; both ranking inside the top 5 in the CBC in the stat.

For the Raiders and the Falcons, the objective is simple: win the trenches.

Whoever does this will more than likely win the game.

Benjamin Logan has already weathered some difficult moments this season, but the Raiders have responded with strong performances when they have needed them. After last week's dominant win over Tecumseh, Friday's matchup will provide another opportunity to show how far this team has come.

Graham is coming off what is the best victory in the CBC after losing to rival Urbana just a week prior.

Both teams come in riding the wave of momentum; who will keep it rolling?
