BELLEFONTAINE— The 2026 Logan County Fair harness racing meet provided plenty of memorable moments across its two-day run, highlighted by a track-record performance from Gypsy’s Brother and dominant driving efforts from Emanuel Miller.
Monday’s 14-race opening card belonged to Rockstars Virgin, who turned in the fastest mile of the day in the Herb LeVan Memorial Signature Series Pace. Driven by Sam Widger, the 7-year-old Always A Virgin gelding sat third and trailed by two lengths at the three-quarter pole before powering home for a convincing 2 ½-length victory in 1:58.3. Rockstars Virgin is owned and trained by Robert Rogan.
The opening day also showcased a competitive battle among the drivers. Hank LeVan and Emanuel Miller each recorded three wins to share top driving honors, while Widger and Marc St. Louis Jr. added two victories apiece. LeVan’s success extended to the training ranks as he sent out winners Leonia L, Bit Of L and Tricked Ya L, giving him training honors for the card. Herman Hagerman posted a training double.

Tuesday’s 11-race finale raised the bar even higher.
Pierce Henry opened the program with a victory in the first race, earning his second win of the meet. However, the evening quickly became the Emanuel Miller Show. Miller dominated the final card with five driving victories and finished the two-day meet with seven wins overall, the most of any driver.
The headline performance came from Gypsy’s Brother, who shattered the Bellefontaine pacing track record. Driven by Miller, the 3-year-old Racing Hill gelding went gate-to-wire and cruised to a 7 ½-length victory in 1:56.1. Trained and owned by Herman Hagerman, Gypsy’s Brother eclipsed the previous pacing mark of 1:57.1, set by Chance I Might in 2017. The victory was the colt’s fourth in 18 career starts and pushed his lifetime earnings to $34,679.
Miller added another signature victory in the Bob Maier Signature Series Trot, guiding KJ Todd to a four-length triumph in 2:00.3. The 6-year-old Trixton gelding is also trained by Hagerman and races for Hagerman Racing.
By the end of the meet, Miller had established himself as the dominant driver, while Hagerman enjoyed a stellar closing night with four training victories. LeVan finished the fair with four wins overall, highlighted by his three-win performance on opening day.
From Rockstars Virgin’s fast-closing Monday victory to Gypsy’s Brother’s record-breaking mile on Tuesday, the Logan County Fair meet delivered an exciting showcase of Ohio fair racing and plenty of standout performances in Bellefontaine.
