Area residents will have an opportunity to roll up their sleeves and help patients in need during an upcoming American Red Cross blood drive at the Logan County Health District.
The blood drive will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the health district, 310 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, according to information provided about the event.
“The need for blood donors is urgent,” representatives from the LCHD said in a social media post. “The American Red Cross recently declared a national blood supply crisis, citing critically low donations and particular strain on type O blood supplies.
“Every eligible donor can help support patients who rely on lifesaving transfusions.”
Organizers are encouraging eligible residents to donate and help support patients who depend on lifesaving blood transfusions. The event's message emphasizes the difference even one donation can make, with the accompanying flyer carrying the theme, "One Bag, Endless Impact."
Those interested in donating can sign up for the Logan County Health District blood drive through the Red Cross at: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=LCHD.
