Hundreds of classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles will roll into downtown Bellefontaine Saturday, Aug. 8, for the much-anticipated 26th Annual Hot Summer Nights Cruise-In presented by the Top of Ohio Cruisers.
The popular event carries a patriotic theme, honoring the nation's upcoming 250th birthday celebration. Organizers are expecting several hundred vehicles for one of Logan County's largest and longest-running automotive events.
A new schedule has been implemented for the 2026 cruise-in. The downtown show will run from 5 to 8 p.m., with awards presented at 8 p.m. Vehicle participants must register at the Logan County Fairgrounds between 1 and 4 p.m., as no registration will be available downtown.
Following registration, participants will parade from the fairgrounds up Main Street to downtown Bellefontaine beginning at approximately 4:15 p.m. Organizers noted that the parade typically lasts about 45 minutes and moves at a slow pace.
The annual cruise-in welcomes all makes and models of cars, trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles.
In addition to displaying vehicles throughout downtown, participants and spectators can enjoy door prizes, a driver's pool, a 50/50 drawing and a $1,000 cash raffle. More than 50 awards will be presented during the evening.
Organizers remind participants that they must be present during the awards ceremony to receive an award. Any unclaimed awards will be given to the next highest vote recipient.
The event is conducted rain or shine and is expected to draw automotive enthusiasts from across Ohio and neighboring states.
Cruise-in officials are also reminding participants that all vehicles must register at the fairgrounds before entering downtown. Vehicles not participating in the parade will be directed to designated non-parade parking areas downtown.
Several event rules will be enforced, including prohibitions on alcohol consumption by participants, flame throwing displays and burnouts.
Organizers also noted that Bellefontaine's Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) will remain in effect during the event for the public.
Awards will be selected by event sponsors and local celebrities.
The Top of Ohio Cruisers continue to seek volunteers to assist with parking parade vehicles and directing participants during the event.
