The Flying Pepper took home the blue ribbon for the second straight year in the annual Taste of Bellefontaine. (TOM STEPHENS | THE CHRONICLE)

One hundred and fifty tickets were sold for the annual Taste of Bellefontaine, which took place Thursday, Aug. 6 in Downtown Bellefontaine.

Ticket holders were given a gold token and then charged with hitting all 13 stops along the way in the Downtown area, after which they could use the token to vote for their favorite “taste.”

For the second consecutive year, the Flying Pepper grabbed the bragging rights as the best “taste” with its mini grilled burrito bowl elote, but it had very strong competition among the other 12 business and organizations that participated in the event.
