The Indian Lake Board of Education received an update on finances, honored a host of athletes and once again agreed to offer free student passes to athletic contests for the 2026-27 school year during their Monday evening meeting, June 22.
District Treasurer Brady Hipsher told board members that the district's bond on the Elementary School will be eligible for refinancing later this fall.
The board agreed that Hipsher should examine the interest rates at that time and then they will consider making a change. Hipsher reports that refinancing the bond could save taxpayers some money should interest rates remain favorable.
