Indian Lake’s boys track and field team showcased both speed and strength Tuesday evening, rolling to the team championship at the Logan County meet in DeGraff with 124.5 points.

Benjamin Logan followed with 94 points, Bellefontaine placed third with 88.5, and Calvary Christian rounded out the field with 32.

Relays set the tone early for Indian Lake and proved decisive throughout the meet. The Lakers captured the 4x100 relay in 44.86 seconds, powered by Gavin Henry, Brodey Reisinger, Noah Shirk, and Silas Holbrook. Later, Indian Lake closed the meet by winning the 4x400 relay (3:38.17) behind a strong lineup of Aidan Stinebaugh, Carson Clary, Kade Richardson, and Holbrook.

Sprint events brought more points for Indian Lake. Reisinger claimed the 100 meters (11.12) and added a podium finish in the long jump, while Holbrook followed with victories in the 200 meters (22.56) and a second-place finish in the 100.

Hurdles standout Gavin Henry played a key role in the Lakers’ victory. The senior won the 110-meter hurdles (15.11) and placed second in the 300 hurdles (41.85), contributing valuable points in both individual and relay races.

Bellefontaine responded with strength in the distance events. Hayden Maus completed a distance double, taking the 1600 meters (4:54.18) and 800 meters (2:07.79). Teammate Landon Gerwels finished runner-up in both races, while Oliver Grandstaff claimed the 3200 meters (10:17.07) to give the Chieftains a clean sweep of the distance titles.

Indian Lake’s biggest advantage came in the throwing events, where senior Christopher Timms dominated the competition. Timms won the shot put (51-5) and the discus (134-6), accounting for 16 points and consistently swinging momentum in the Lakers’ favor.

Ben Logan stayed competitive with strong field performances. Owen Stratton earned top honors in the high jump (5-8), while Carter Daniels captured the pole vault (13-6) with a commanding clearance. The Raiders also picked up relay points with a second-place finish in both the 4x100 and 4x400.

Calvary Christian found success in the middle distances and hurdles, as Brett Gilldow placed second in the 400 meters and contributed to a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay.
