The Indian Lake Lakers battled through four sets but ultimately fell to West Liberty in their latest matchup, dropping the contest 3-1 by scores of 17-25, 25-20, 18-25 and 13-25.

Indian Lake showed its resilience throughout the match, answering a first-set loss with a strong second-set performance to even the contest at one set apiece. West Liberty, however, regained control in the third set before closing out the match in the fourth.

Cami Bailey led the Lakers offensively with nine kills while adding 13 digs and two aces. Alivia Kinney finished with seven kills and an ace, while Madison Davis and Courtney Altstaetter each recorded six kills. Davis also contributed three digs and an ace, while Altstaetter added two digs and an ace.

Mackenzie Miller provided a strong all-around effort with four kills, a team-high 16 digs and two aces.

Addyson Roby helped direct the Indian Lake offense with 29 assists while also contributing four kills and 10 digs.

Defensively, Piper Warnecke and Quinn Imm each recorded 11 digs, joining Bailey and Miller in providing a steady presence in the back row.

The Lakers volleyball squad now moves to 1-3 to open the young season. Despite the setback, the Lakers will have a quick opportunity to get back on the court. Indian Lake travels to West Liberty on Saturday for its next matchup, looking to rebound and continue building momentum as the season progresses.
