The apple didn’t far from the tree is an apt description when you’re talking about the life and career of Audrey Defibaugh, naturalist at Indian Lake State Park. Her affection for all things outdoors and within the animal kingdom comes to her, well, quite naturally.
“I’ve always loved animals and nature, even from a young age,” Audrey said. “As I grew up, that love continued and grew, and I have to credit that at least in part to my dad.”
An avid hunter, fisherman and all-around outdoorsman, Tom Defibaugh passed that passion on to his daughter. She tagged along on his many adventures, from bass fishing to deer hunting, instilling in a little girl an appreciation for the outdoors that only grew over time.
