The Indian Lake Lakers volleyball program took care of business at home Tuesday evening, sweeping Tecumseh in both JV and varsity action.

The JV Lakers opened the evening with a dominant two-set victory, taking both sets by identical 25-9 scores.

Claire Tidwell led the JV offense with 10 kills, while Lux Kipker added 10 assists and two aces. Makayle Clary contributed seven digs and three aces, while Layna Nessler finished with three digs and four assists.

Mary Archer and Adeline Schulz each recorded two kills, while Reese Imm added two aces as the Lakers cruised to the sweep.

The varsity Lakers followed with a strong performance of their own, defeating Tecumseh in straight sets, 25-16, 25-11 and 25-21.

Cami Bailey and Madison Davis led the way offensively with 10 kills apiece. Bailey also recorded a block, two aces and six digs, while Davis added a block and was a perfect 7-for-7 serving.

Courtney Altstaetter added eight kills, a block and a team-high five aces, while Alivia Kinney recorded seven kills and a block and went a perfect 12-for-12 from the service line.

Mackenzie Miller contributed five kills and five digs while also going 8-for-8 serving.

Setting the pace for the Lakers was Addyson Roby, who finished with an impressive 37 assists, along with three digs and an ace. Kyler Carruthers added five digs and two aces to round out the defensive and serving effort.

With strong performances at both the JV and varsity levels, Indian Lake put together a complete night of volleyball at home, sweeping Tecumseh and continuing to build momentum as the season moves forward.

The victory moves their record to 8-5 and marks their third straight win. The Lady Lakers can push their winning streak to four tonight at Graham High School against the Falcons.
