Labor Day weekend will once again bring music, food, shopping and fellowship together to West Liberty as River Radio presents its 13th Annual Labor Day Concert on Sunday, Sept. 6.
The free concert begins at 5 p.m. at Lions Park, 576 County Road 174, as part of the West Liberty Labor Day Festival.
This year’s concert will feature Christian recording artist Jon Reddick, who was originally scheduled to perform at Rock the Lake before that event was canceled due to predicted inclement weather.
Reddick will headline an evening that also includes performances by River artists Caleb & John and Rachel Purcell, along with worship led by Resonance from Cedarville University. ASL interpreters will be available on site as well.

For those who have attended the Labor Day Concert in previous years, the event has become more than simply an evening of music. It is an opportunity for families and friends to gather, enjoy the holiday weekend and celebrate the community.
Festival-goers are encouraged to arrive early and make an afternoon of it. The West Liberty Labor Day Festival offers festival food, a plethora of tractors, antiques and crafts, a flea market and plenty of opportunities to explore before the concert begins.
“It's a great opportunity to come out and enjoy everything the festival has to offer, then stay for an evening of music and worship,” organizers said.
The concert is made possible through the continued support of ColePak, which is returning as the title sponsor. Community Health & Wellness Partners, McDonald’s of Indian Lake, Southgate Veterinary Clinic, Sunlight Windows, Roofs by Warren and additional community partners are also helping make the free community concert possible.
Admission and parking are free, making the event an easy holiday weekend outing for families, visitors and music fans of all ages.
Attendees are encouraged to take a lawn chair and settle in for the evening.
The West Liberty Labor Day Festival runs all of Labor Day Weekend and opens at noon Sunday, Sept. 6, with the concert following at 5 p.m. at Lions Park. ■
