In loving memory of Jordan Wesley Scales — Beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. Jordan’s life tragically ended on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Boynton Beach, Florida. Jordan was born and raised in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He attended Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine City Schools. He loved his family fiercely. Even when he was upset, there was no question that he would do anything to protect the people he loved. .Jordan enjoyed many things in life, but more than anything, he loved to fish. He could out-fish some of the best. In a lake where nothing seemed to be biting, within moments of casting his lure, Jordan would somehow be reeling in fish. It was a gift that came effortlessly to him, and it was one of the many things that made him uniquely Jordan. Jordan faced many struggles throughout his life, and while we would give anything to have him back with us, there is comfort in knowing he is no longer fighting those battles. May his soul find the peace with God that he was unable to find in this physical world. Jordan is survived by his parents, Destinie Scales of Russells Point, Ohio, and David Scales of Kentucky; his siblings, Hilary Lee of Columbus, Ohio, David Scales II of Columbus, Ohio, Rebecca Scales of Boynton Beach, Florida, and Paul Scales of Columbus, Ohio; his daughter, Breanna Hale of Almo, Kentucky; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring Jordan’s memory on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Moundwood Shelter House, located at 7998 OH-368, Huntsville, Ohio 43324. A memorial service will be led by Brenda L. Johnson, followed by a catered meal. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jordan’s name to the National Coalition for the Homeless at: nationalhomeless.org/get-involved/
