WEST LIBERTY — Grant Krabill made his presence felt in every phase of the game Friday night, helping West Liberty-Salem put together a dominant 35-0 victory over Northeastern in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

Krabill was the difference-maker for the Tigers, coming up with two interceptions on defense while also adding a 66-yard punt return touchdown to help West Liberty-Salem pull away from the Jets.

The Tigers wasted little time getting on the scoreboard.

Quarterback Beckett Sullivan connected with Sam Kidd on a 42-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring just a minute into the game. Sullivan then found Krabill for a 17-yard touchdown, giving West Liberty-Salem a quick advantage.

Krabill continued to make his impact felt in the second quarter when he fielded a Northeastern punt and raced 66 yards for a touchdown, giving the Tigers another explosive special-teams play.

The Tigers added another score before halftime when Silas Krabill punched in an 11-yard touchdown run, sending West Liberty-Salem into the break with a commanding lead.

From there, the Tigers' defense took control.

Krabill's two interceptions helped keep Northeastern off the scoreboard and continued a strong season for the West Liberty-Salem defensive back. He left the week among the OHC's interception leaders with four picks on the season.

Sullivan finished the night with two touchdown passes, while the Tigers' defense completed the shutout to cap a dominant performance on both sides of the football.

For West Liberty-Salem, the victory provided another strong showing as the Tigers continue their push through the OHC schedule.

But on a night filled with big plays, it was a total team effort at all three phases of the game to take the wind out of the Jets’ wings and continue a resurgent second half of the season for the Orange and Black.
