The West Liberty-Salem Lady Tigers golf team traveled to Springfield Elks 51 Golf Course Tuesday to compete in the Ohio Heritage Conference Girls Golf Tournament, placing third overall in the 18-hole conference championship with a team score of 458.

Grace Jones led the way for the Lady Tigers, carding a 108 to finish 13th overall individually. Emma Cole followed with a 111, placing 18th, while Ava Martin shot a 115 to finish 25th. Kate Bolton rounded out the team scoring with a 117, good for 29th overall.

Along with the conference tournament, West Liberty-Salem also completed a make-up conference match against Greeneview. The Lady Tigers turned in their best nine-hole team performance of the season, defeating Greeneview 207-226.

Cole paced West Liberty-Salem with a personal-best 49, while Jones added a 51. Bolton also recorded a personal-best score of 52, followed by Martin with a personal-best 55. Britton Carter rounded out the Lady Tigers' performance with a career-best 58.

The Lady Tigers will return to action Thursday evening when they travel to Dayton Carroll.
