Indian Lake’s cross country teams continued their season Saturday at the Eaton Invitational, with the Lakers turning in several solid individual performances against a competitive field.

Nathan White led the Indian Lake boys, finishing 18th overall with a time of 18:31. Hayden Kuhlke followed closely behind in 24th, crossing the finish line in 18:55 while setting a new personal record.

Dalton Young rounded out the Lakers’ boys competitors, placing 79th with a time of 22:49.

On the girls side, Laura Metzger paced Indian Lake with a 13th-place finish, posting a time of 22:30. Alicia Brielmaier was next for the Lakers, finishing 23rd in 23:23, while Kayleigh Taylor placed 27th with a time of 23:45.

Haley Metzger crossed the finish line 36th overall in 25:06, followed by Abby Arnett in 42nd with a time of 25:46.

The Eaton Invitational provided another opportunity for the Lakers to test themselves against competition outside of the area while continuing to build toward the postseason.

Kuhlke’s personal-record performance highlighted the boys’ effort, while the girls placed five runners inside the top 42 to lead the way for Indian Lake.

The Lakers will return to action next week when they travel to Ohio Caverns for their next cross country meet.
