The Logan Acres Community Foundation invites the public to attend its annual Flag Day Celebration, returning this year with a full lineup of patriotic activities and opportunities to honor service members and loved ones.

The event that also honors America’s 250th birthday is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at the Logan Acres Campus, located at 2739 County Road 91 in Bellefontaine.

Community members are encouraged to join residents of Logan Acres Senior Community and The Homestead for the patriotic celebration, which will feature guest speakers, local officials and recognition of service personnel. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Razzamatazz & Jazz Band.

A highlight of the event will be the dedication of the Logan Acres field of flags, a display honoring individuals whose names will be included with each sponsored flag.

Prior to the event, community members have the opportunity to dedicate a flag in honor of a loved one or a respected service member for $25 each. The flag dedications can be purchased either in person at Logan Acres or online through an Eventbrite registration link available through Logan Acres’ Facebook page.

Proceeds from the flag dedications will benefit Logan Acres Community Foundation.

For more information about the Flag Day Celebration or dedication opportunities, contact Campus Administrator Lorraine Fischio at (937) 592-2901.
