The Logan County Board of Elections has announced its early in-person voting dates and times for the upcoming May 5 primary election. 

Those wishing to vote early in-person may do so at the Logan County Board of Elections, located at 225 S. Main St. in Bellefontaine.

Early voting dates and times include:

Tuesday, April 7, through Friday, April 10, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday, April 27, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 28, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 29, through Friday, May 1, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 2, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday, May 3, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ohio voters will need to provide a valid photo identification to cast a ballot in the primary election. Types of valid photo identification include:

  • Ohio driver’s license

  • State of Ohio ID card

  • Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV

  • A U.S. passport

  • A U.S. passport card

  • U.S. military ID card

  • Ohio National Guard ID card

  • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ID card

All photo IDs must have the following: a photograph of the voter; and the voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book.

Ohio law prohibits acceptance of the following forms of ID for voting purposes:

  • Driver’s license or photo identification card issued by a state other than Ohio

  • Social Security card

  • Birth certificate

  • Insurance card

  • Utility bill

  • Bank statement

  • Government check

  • Paycheck

  • Other government document or

  • Any registration acknowledgment notice from the county board of elections.

Voters who do not have one of the valid IDs listed may cast a provisional vote at the Board of Elections during the times noted and on Election Day. For a provisional ballot to be counted, the voter must return to the Board of Elections no later than four days following Election Day (Tuesday, May 5) and provide a qualifying form of identification. 

If you do not have a photo ID because of a religious objection to being photographed, you may complete an affidavit of religious objection to have your provisional ballot count.
