Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the death of a Zanesfield area woman, who was found deceased Tuesday evening, Aug. 18, in a pond at her property.

The victim was identified as Marianne R. Saxton, 63, of 7782 State Route 559, Zanesfield.

About 9:56 p.m. Tuesday, deputies reportedly responded to her address in reference to a missing 63-year-old female.

When deputies arrived, they searched a pond on the property and found the missing woman in the pond.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies are continuing their investigation into the incident and expect to release additional information.
