The Bellefontaine Shade Tree Commission created the Neighborhood Beautification Program to celebrate residents who enhance the beauty of the city by taking pride in the landscaping of their homes and positively impact the community through beautification efforts.
The commission began accepting nominations for the 2026 Neighborhood Beautification Program Aug. 10.
Residents can submit entries, which should include an address and a photo of the home, to [email protected] no later than Sept. 10.
Properties will be evaluated on initial impression, selection and placement of landscaping materials, and originality of design.
Earlier this year, the Shade Tree Commission recognized Travis and Tess Predmore of 300 E. Patterson Ave. as the winners of the 2025 Neighborhood Beautification Award, as previously detailed in the Chronicle.
The Predmores received an engraved garden stone, which now sits by the front door, and a yard sign marking the honor.
The STC Beautification committee received nominations of several residences and voted for the Predmores after reviewing photos of each property. ■
