The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains picked up two exciting victories last night, earning a pair of hard-fought wins against Urbana and Tecumseh in a thrilling night of high school girls’ golf.

Bellefontaine opened the evening with a 236-241 victory over Urbana. The Lady Chieftains then faced Tecumseh in an incredibly close matchup that came down to the final score.

After 18 holes, Bellefontaine and Tecumseh were deadlocked at 236-236. With the match tied, the teams turned to a fifth-person tiebreaker to determine the winner. The Lady Chieftains delivered when it mattered most, winning the tiebreaker by three strokes and securing their second dramatic victory of the night.

The back-to-back wins showcase the Lady Chieftains’ ability to stay composed and compete under pressure, especially when the outcome comes down to the final strokes.

Bellefontaine will return to the course today at Liberty Hills Golf Course for Senior Night. The Lady Chieftains will take on London and Urbana as they celebrate their senior golfers and look to build on their strong season.
