Benjamin Logan opened its Quest Cup campaign with a strong all-around performance Friday night, defeating Calvary Christian 3-0 behind a balanced offensive effort and a solid defensive showing. The Raiders would end their tournament in a draw against the New Hope Christian Academy; Calvary rebounded to take 3rd place in the tournament.
The Raiders struck early and maintained control throughout the contest against Calvary, led by an impressive night from freshman Santiago Solano, who scored two goals to pace the Benjamin Logan attack. Senior Xavier Allen added the Raiders' third goal, helping secure the shutout victory.
Benjamin Logan's offense received contributions from multiple players, with senior Ben Solano and sophomore Luke Vesely each recording an assist. The Raiders consistently created scoring opportunities and capitalized on their chances to build separation throughout the match.


Calvary Christian battled throughout the evening and was led defensively by junior goalkeeper Brody Prall, who recorded eight saves. Prall's efforts kept the Spartans competitive despite facing steady pressure from the Raiders' attack.
The win showcased a promising combination of veteran leadership and young talent for Benjamin Logan. Allen's senior experience complemented the breakout performance from Santiago Solano, whose two-goal effort provided a major spark for the Raiders.
For Calvary Christian, the matchup served as an early-season test against a quality opponent. Despite the result, the Spartans gained valuable experience that would help them bounce back later in the tournament.
In the end, Benjamin Logan's finishing ability, combined with contributions across the lineup, proved to be the difference as the Raiders earned a 3-0 victory to begin Quest Cup play.
On Saturday, the Raiders continued their Quest Cup play with a 1-1 draw against New Hope Christian Academy.
Calvary continued their play in the third-place game by defeating Jackson Center 5-2, with goals coming from Aiden Keller, Brett Gildow, Ransom Lambert, Seth Palmer, and Sam Mihoci. Of those 5 goals, 3 were assisted by Aiden Keller, Seth Palmer, and Kole Gantz.
