The Benjamin Logan varsity girls golf team traveled to Marion Country Club Tuesday evening to take on a tough North Union team.

The Raiders put together one of their strongest performances of the season, posting a team score of 203 — their second-best score of the season. Despite the solid performance, Benjamin Logan came up just short in the match as North Union finished with a 194.

Kaylynn Crumm led the way for the Raiders with a round of 44. Leah Braddock and Catherine Bramlage each carded a 52, while Sophia “River” VanVoorhis finished with a 55.

Annika Schmidt followed with a 58, while Montana Coleman posted a 62. Kaydence Hamlin finished with a 69, followed by Alayna Johnson with a 71.

Laurel Smith and Elizabeth Bramlage rounded out the Benjamin Logan scores with rounds of 74 and 77, respectively.

While the Raiders were unable to come away with the victory, Tuesday’s 203 marked another strong step forward for the team as it continues to improve throughout the season.

The loss pushes the record to 4-5 on the season, and sitting in the middle of the pack for CBC conference standings.

Benjamin Logan will return to action Tuesday for the CBC league match.
