Robert Lee Wagner, 78, of Huntsville, passed away at 10:02 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Otterbein Green Hills Senior Life Community in West Liberty, Ohio.
He was born in Lima, Ohio on January 3, 1948, to the late Gerald Alvin Wagner and Opal Lavoone (Gross) Wagner.
Robert is survived by his two children, Yancy (Abby) Wagner, and Trudy (Tyler) Bradley; four grandchildren, John Chavez Wagner, Troy Bradley, Taryn Bradley, and Ashley Wagner; four siblings, Carl (Rose Mary) Wagner, Gerald (Patricia) Wagner, Dorothea (Larry) Longbrake, and Maryann Klipstine; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Wagner; sister-in-law, Karen Wagner; and brother-in-law, Jeff Klipstine.
A U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, Robert was a member of Teamsters Local 908 in Lima, Doyle R. Miller AMVETS Post #39, Lakeview, V.F.W. Frank D. Castle Post #1080, Bellefontaine, Harold Kerr Post #173, Bellefontaine, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, and Bellefontaine F.O.E. #2166

A celebration of life service will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday May 23, at the VFW Frank D. Castle Post #1080, 216 Orchard Avenue in Bellefontaine, with military rites performed by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
