Benjamin Logan Local Schools announced this week that Assistant Middle School Principal Deepika Scheiderer has been selected as the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA) Assistant Principal of the Year Winner for Zone 3.
Zone 3 represents 13 counties in Southwest and West Central Ohio, making this recognition a significant honor.
Scheiderer now advances as a finalist in the state-level selection process. Later this year, the OASSA Board of Directors will select four overall winners from the pool of zone honorees to represent the State of Ohio.
This award recognizes outstanding assistant principals who demonstrate excellence in areas such as school culture and climate, leadership impact, support for learning and teaching, student performance and accomplishments and equity-focused leadership.
Scheiderer’s selection reflects her commitment to creating a safe, positive and supportive school environment for students and staff.
“Her leadership has made a meaningful impact on students, staff, families and the Benjamin Logan community as a whole,” district officials said.
“Always team-oriented, Scheiderer wanted to share this special moment with some of her supporters, including students, staff, fellow Benjamin Logan administrators and colleagues who have encouraged her along the way.
“Benjamin Logan Local Schools congratulates Deepika Scheiderer on this well-deserved honor and wishes her the best as she continues through the state selection process,” district officials said.
