HEATHERWOODE GOLF COURSE — Indian Lake senior Jaxon Snipes closed out his high school golf season Tuesday, competing against some of the area’s top golfers at the Division II Boys District Golf Tournament at Heatherwoode Golf Course.

Snipes carded an 88 for the day, shooting identical scores of 44 on both the front and back nine. He finished the tournament 17 over par while recording five pars and nine bogeys throughout his round.

The Indian Lake senior battled through all 18 holes as he represented the Lakers on the district stage, finishing tied for 56th overall.

For Snipes, the district tournament provided one final opportunity to compete at the high school level and test himself against some of the best golfers in the area.

While his final round marked the end of his high school career, Snipes leaves behind another season of representing Indian Lake on the course and competing at the highest levels available to him.

Congratulations on a great career, Jaxon!
