WEST LIBERTY, Ohio — West Liberty-Salem Local Schools is proud to announce the 2026 West Liberty-Salem Athletic Hall of Fame Class, honoring a distinguished coach, standout former student-athlete, and one of the most successful teams in school history.
The 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are Coach Ann Vogel, athlete Jamie Peterson, and the 2010 Lady Tigers Softball Team, Division III State Runner-Up.
The West Liberty-Salem Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and teams whose accomplishments, leadership, character, and contributions have made a lasting impact on Tiger Athletics. This year’s class represents decades of excellence and the proud tradition of West Liberty-Salem athletics.

Longtime West Liberty-Salem coach Ann Vogel will be inducted in recognition of her outstanding coaching career and the lasting impact she has made on generations of Tiger student-athletes. Her leadership, commitment to excellence, and dedication to developing athletes both in competition and beyond have played an important role in the history and tradition of West Liberty-Salem athletics.

Former West Liberty-Salem standout Jamie Peterson will be inducted as an athlete following an exceptional high school career in volleyball and basketball. Peterson distinguished herself through her athletic accomplishments, competitiveness, leadership, and contributions to the success of Tiger Athletics during her time at West Liberty-Salem.

The 2010 Lady Tigers Softball Team will be inducted following its historic run to the OHSAA Division III State Championship game, where the Tigers finished as State Runner-Up. The team’s remarkable postseason run remains one of the most memorable accomplishments in West Liberty-Salem athletic history and represents the teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit that define Tiger Athletics.
Hall of Fame Weekend
The 2026 inductees will first be celebrated Friday evening at Tiger Stadium. The honorees will gather for a brief reception in the Tiger Strong Fieldhouse before being recognized during a 6:30 p.m. pregame ceremony at Tiger Stadium.
The celebration will continue on Saturday, October 3, with the West Liberty-Salem Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony in the Tiger Strong Fieldhouse.
Doors Open/Social Hour: 5:00 p.m.
Dinner: 6:00 p.m.
Induction Ceremony: Immediately following dinner
Tickets are $40 per person and include the social hour and dinner. Semi-formal attire is appropriate.
