The West Liberty-Salem Tigers picked up a hard-fought volleyball victory Tuesday night, defeating Cedarville in four sets, 25-22, 20-25, 25-22 and 25-20. This victory moves the Lady Tigers to 11-3 this season.

The Tigers and Indians traded momentum throughout the match, with Cedarville answering WLS' opening-set victory by taking the second set 25-20. West Liberty-Salem responded by winning the third set 25-22 before closing out the match with another 25-20 victory in the fourth.

Sophomore Reese Winters led the Tigers' offensive attack, finishing with an impressive 19 kills on 50 attacks. She also added four blocks and 22 digs to contribute across the court.

Senior Kiersten Stoll provided a strong all-around performance with seven kills, two assists, four blocks and 25 digs. Senior Lilli Heminger added six kills and seven blocks while contributing six digs.

At the net, Sophia Landon helped direct the WLS offense with 38 assists, while also recording two kills, 12 digs and 13 service receptions.

Defensively, Reagan Winters recorded 23 digs and three assists, while sophomore Kenna Wright added 16 digs. Emma Liggett contributed 10 service receptions and three blocks in the Tigers' defensive effort.

WLS also received contributions from freshman Rylee Falloon, who recorded four kills and three digs, and freshman Caroline Foster, who added a kill and two digs.

After splitting the first two sets, the Tigers found a way to close out the final two frames and secure the four-set victory over Cedarville.

West Liberty-Salem will look to carry the momentum from Tuesday night's win into its next match as the Tigers continue their season against Southeastern on Thursday the 24th at Southeastern High School.
