West Liberty Tigers warm up before a game against the Northeastern Jets. (PRESTON SHIELDS | CHRONICLE STAFF)

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers delivered a dominant performance Friday night, traveling to Triad High School on Oct. 9 and returning home with a convincing 49-14 victory over the Cardinals.

Led by a standout performance from Silas Krabill, the Tigers found success on the ground while also capitalizing on opportunities through the air and on defense to secure the Ohio Heritage Conference win.

Krabill spearheaded the offensive attack, carrying the ball 27 times for 211 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to consistently move the chains helped establish the tone for West Liberty-Salem as the Tigers pulled away from Triad.

Quarterback Beckett Sullivan also played a significant role in the victory, contributing three touchdowns. Sullivan connected with Sam Kidd for a passing score and added two rushing touchdowns of his own, giving the Tigers another reliable scoring threat throughout the contest.

West Liberty-Salem received additional production from Zade Bieleski, who found the end zone on the ground to help fuel the Tigers' offensive output.

The Tigers' defense also made its presence felt. Josiah Johnson turned an interception into a touchdown, providing a defensive score that further strengthened West Liberty-Salem's advantage.

Special teams contributed to the decisive result as Tucker Searles delivered a perfect night on extra points, converting all seven of his attempts.

The 49-point performance showcased the Tigers' ability to generate offense in multiple ways, with contributions from the rushing attack, passing game, defense and special teams.

West Liberty-Salem will return to Tiger Stadium next Friday to host West Jefferson for Senior Night. The Tigers will look to carry the momentum from Friday's convincing road victory into their final home game of the regular season.
